What's a 360-degree evaluation?

360-degree evaluation is a method that provides each employee the opportunity to receive performance feedback from his or her supervisor or manager, peers, and subordinates. Self-assessments are also a component of 360-degree feedback.

What do you need to set up before you process the 360 evaluation ?

For each designation, you need to define the following:

  1. Senioirty: which is the level of management such as: entry-level, top management
  2. Competencies: which are set of demonstrable characteristics and skills that enable and improve the efficiency or performance of a job. To learn more, visit this page

How to Create a New Employee Evaluation Period

  1. Go to Employee Evaluation Period list, Click on New
  2. Enter a Title
  3. Enter From Date, To Date
  4. In the number of of raters field, enter the maximum number of all raters
  5. In the raters count table, Enter the Rater (Direct Manager, subordinate, and peers) then give each rater a specific weight.
  6. in the number column, enter the maximum number raters of that specific rater. For example, 3 are the maximum numbers for the peers.
  7. Tick "Automatic Evaluators" checkbox, when you tick this checkbox it will generate evaluations based on the number of raters field and the Raters count table.
  8. Tick "Send Designation Specific Competencies" checkbox
  9. In the Weight section, you specify the weight for each type of competencies.
  10. Click on "Generate Evaluation Button"

Employee Evaluation Mapping

This doctype will be generated automatically, it will contain the employee name and a list of all the evaluators, their type, and the rate. when all evaluators complete the evaluation. A final score ( Out of 5 ) will be calculated.

Employee Evaluation

This doctype will be generated automatically, it will contain the employee who will be evaluated and his/her designation competencies (leadership, functional, or core). So the evaluator will evaluate the employee based on the designation competencies.
