The "Human Advanced Settings" doctype in StrideERP is a configuration document that allows you to customize and fine-tune various advanced settings related to human resources management. It provides a centralized location where you can define specific behaviors, rules, and preferences for HR processes within your organization.

2. How to access Advanced Settings

To access Advanced Settings go to

Admin > App Settings > Advanced Settings

2.1 Attendance Settings

This section allows you to configure settings related to employee attendance, such as defining attendance policies, attendance marking rules, grace periods, and overtime calculations.

2.2 Leave Setting

Here, you can define rules and policies for employee leaves, including leave types, leave accrual methods, carry forward rules, and leave encashment.

2.3 Designation settings

This section enables you to manage employee designations within your organization. You can define different designations, set hierarchies, and assign specific roles and permissions based on designations.

2.4 Employment Certificate Settings

It allows you to customize the format and content of employment certificates issued to employees, including details like employee information, job title, employment dates, and other relevant information.

2.5 Vendor Contract Settings

This section pertains to managing contracts with vendors or external entities. You can define contract terms, renewal conditions, and notification settings for vendor contracts.

2.6 Employees Contracts Notification Settings

Here, you can configure notification settings related to employee contracts, such as defining when and to whom contract-related notifications should be sent.

  • End of Contract Warning Template:This setting allows you to configure a template for generating warning notifications when an employee's contract is nearing its end
  • End of Probation Warning Template:Similar to the End of Contract Warning Template, this setting enables you to create a template for generating warning notifications when an employee's probation period is about to end.
  • End of Probation Employee Template:This setting involves the configuration of a template used to generate a notification or letter addressed to the employee at the end of their probation period.
  • Warning before end of contract by (Days):This setting allows you to specify the number of days in advance that a warning notification should be triggered before an employee's contract expires.
  • Warning after beginning of contract by (Days):Similar to the previous setting, this one allows you to define the number of days after the start of an employee's contract when a warning notification should be triggered.
  • The Start of Open Contract for Saudis (Years):This setting allows you to specify the number of years of service after which an open-ended contract begins for Saudi employees. It helps in defining the starting point for the duration of open contracts for employees from Saudi Arabia.
  • Suggestion Notification Template:This setting involves the configuration of a template used for generating notifications related to employee suggestions or feedback. You can define the content and format of the notification that will be sent when an employee submits a suggestion or feedback.

2.7 Notification Email Templates

This setting allows customization of email templates for various HR-related notifications, such as leave approvals, attendance reminders, contract notifications, etc.

2.8 Permission Exception

It enables you to define exceptions and rules for granting permissions to employees, such as granting specific permissions for certain roles or departments.

2.9 Loan Settings

This section allows you to manage loan-related settings, including loan types, interest rates, repayment terms, and other parameters.

  • Disable GL Entries when submitting Loan Disbursement:This setting allows you to disable the creation of General Ledger (GL) entries when a loan disbursement is submitted. By enabling this setting, GL entries related to the loan disbursement transaction will not be generated, which can be useful in specific scenarios or accounting setups.
  • Disable GL Entries when submitting Loan Repayment:Similar to the previous setting, this option allows you to disable the creation of GL entries when a loan repayment is submitted. By enabling this setting, GL entries related to the loan repayment transaction will not be generated.
  • Disable Interest of Loans:This setting enables you to disable the calculation and application of interest on loans. By enabling this setting, the system will not calculate or apply any interest charges to the loan transactions. This can be useful in cases where interest is not applicable or managed through alternative means.

2.10 Overtime Section

Overtime Section refer to the configuration options related to overtime management for employees. These settings allow you to define and manage the parameters and rules associated with overtime calculations and recording.

2.11 Company Calculations

Company Calculations refer to the configuration options that allow you to define and manage hidden cost factors associated with employees. These factors represent additional costs or expenses incurred by the company in relation to employing individuals beyond their basic salaries.
