Workspace

A Workspace is a section of an StrideERP application that represents a specific module, such as CRM. It contains various features and functionalities that are specific to that module, including forms, reports, and other related tools.

  • A dashboard section specific to that module.
  • A section for frequently used masters, transactions, or pages.
  • A masters section where all the reports and masters are organized and listed together.

Standard Workspace

In StrideERP, each module has a default workspace that comes with pre-set shortcuts and links specific to that module.

To make any changes to the default layout of the Standard Workspace, you can use the Customize Workspace option located in the top right corner of the Workspace.

2. How to Create a new Workspace

To create a new Workspace go to

Admin > Build > Workspace


  1. Name:Enter the name you want to display in the sidebar.
  2. Module: Choose the module that this Workspace will represent.
  3. Is Standard:If selected, this Workspace will appear in the sidebar. If not selected, it will be considered a customized version of a standard Workspace.
  4. Extends Another Page:If selected, this Workspace will be treated as a customized version of another Workspace.
  5. Is Default:If selected, this Workspace will be the default Workspace displayed to all users for a particular module.
  6. Dashboard:Add a Dashboard to display at the top of the Workspace.
  7. Shortcuts:Add Shortcuts to specific pages, reports or lists which will be displayed below the dashboard.
  8. Link Cards: Add cards that will display a list of links to specific pages, reports, or lists. These must be added in a specific JSON format.
